Committed Local Leadership With Ambitious Climate Goals

  • Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP), the nation’s largest publicly owned utility, is already demonstrating leadership for green hydrogen at scale through the conversion of the Intermountain Power Project (IPP), North America’s largest green hydrogen project under development today.

  • The Los Angeles City Council has adopted a resolution to transition to 100% zero-emission shipping at port of Los Angeles by 2030.

  • The City of Los Angeles had already committed to an ambitious target of 100% renewable energy by 2045 under Mayor Eric Garcetti’s Green New Deal. Garcetti announced that the city has accelerated that goal to 2035.
