Janice Lin

Founder and President

Janice has over 25 years of strategy experience and has distinguished herself as a leading clean energy changemaker. Janice co-founded and for a decade served as Executive Director of the California Energy Storage Alliance, where she helped create the world’s most robust energy storage market. Janice is an internationally recognized thought leader in energy storage and grid decarbonization and won the 2019 Cleanie Award for Entrepreneur of the Year. Janice launched the Green Hydrogen Coalition in 2019 to advance the production and use of green hydrogen at scale to accelerate multi-sectoral decarbonization.


Carl Stills

Interim Executive Director and Policy Director

Carl brings over 40 years of expertise in the utility industry, specifically in project management, policy, advocacy, and development. Before joining the GHC, Carl was the Vice President of Imperial Valley Development & Storage Integration at Avantus and the Energy Manager & Portfolio Management Officer at the Imperial Irrigation District. He has previously served on several nonprofit boards, including the California Energy Storage Alliance and the Geothermal Energy Association.


Shanté Williams

Senior Member Engagement Specialist

Shanté serves as a liaison to GHC donors and ensures a smooth onboarding and membership experience. Previously, Shanté was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Zambia. Additionally, she worked at Colorado Coalition for the Homeless as a Housing Specialist and shifted into program management where she managed a team. She offers extensive experience and a diverse background in program management, social work, and volunteering. Shanté holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Illinois Wesleyan University. 


Dhruv Bhatnagar

Senior Manager, Emerging Technologies

Dhruv supports the GHC on the integration of green hydrogen as an emerging clean energy technology through a technical, economic, regulatory, and equity lens. He has experience across a variety of technology and energy topics including energy storage, hydrogen, renewables such as offshore wind and marine energy, power system planning, energy equity, microgrids, hydroelectricity, electric vehicle integration, energy efficiency, and demand response. Prior to joining, Dhruv served as a Senior Power Systems Research Engineer with Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. Dhruv holds a master’s degree in Energy Science, Technology, and Policy from Carnegie Mellon University and a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.


Missy Lee

Marketing Director

With over ten years of experience, Missy’s expertise includes B2B/B2C digital marketing, brand activation, and ideation. Prior to joining, Missy was the Global Marketing Manager for a multinational biogas company where she additionally sat on the Consumer Access & Outreach Advisory board for the RNG Coalition. Missy also holds a Bachelor of Science in Conservation & Resource Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Economics & Policy from the University of California, Berkeley.
